A subjective, autobiographical meditation on the allure of cigarettes and their troubling legacy for the state of North Carolina. It's about loss and preservation, addiction and denial. And it's also about filmmaking - home movies, documentary, and fiction filmmaking - as the filmmaker fences with the legacy of an obscure Hollywood melodrama that is purportedly based on his great-grandfather's life.

From the director of Sherman's March, North Carolina native Ross McElwee takes a journey across the social, economic and psychological tobacco terrain of his home state in the documentary Bright Leaves.

* "Like Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 and Spurlock's Super Size Me, McElwee's BRIGHT LEAVES takes on a sizable foe -- in this case, big tobacco -- but with such grace and wit that his message never seems medicinal." Carla Meyer, San Francisco Chronicle
* "Personal yet the opposite of egotistical, truthful yet playful, happily distractible yet patient, and above all grateful for those in the world he loves around him, McElwee makes movies the way life might, ideally, be lived." Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly
* "A gently provocative film diary about tobacco and its mixed legacy." Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer

Also new on iTunes is the sixth installment of the award-winning machinima series based on Xbox's Halo – Red Vs. Blue: Reconstruction.

* Special Presentation – Sundance Film Festival
* Official Selection – SXSW Interactive Festival
* Official Selection – New York Video Festival
